🧰 BASIC TOOLS NEEDED

  • 91%+ isopropyl alcohol
  • Clean spray bottle
  • Dish detergent (3 drops per quart of water)
  • Lint-free soft cloth
  • Felt-tipped squeegee
  • Heat gun

🧼 CLEANING & PREPARATION

Ensure RC panels are completely clean and dry. Use 91% isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to clean the surface. Remove old graphics and adhesive residue with mild heat and an appropriate adhesive remover.

📐 APPLICATION PREPARATION

Install in a heated room above 75°F. Unroll and inspect each graphic, then pre-trim and test-fit if needed. If anything is missing, contact me before peeling the liner. Keep hands clean and oil-free.

✅ APPLICATION

Spray both the body and the adhesive side of the graphic with soapy water. Float it into place, then use a felt-tipped squeegee or soft cloth with heat as needed. Start at the center and work outward. Reheat curved areas if necessary to shape the vinyl properly.

⚙️ RIVET INSTALLATION NOTES

On 1/5-scale models, graphics may be applied over rivet depressions. Use heat and a soft cloth to conform the material. A small X-cut can help fit around a rivet.

❄️ COLD-WEATHER WARNING

Below 50°F, vinyl may crack or fail. Use alternate bodies for cold use when possible.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

  • Once removed from the liner, graphics are not returnable.
  • Do not cover warning labels.
  • Proper surface preparation and installation are the responsibility of the installer.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What temperature should I install in?

A warm, clean workspace above 75°F is best for normal installation.

Can I reposition a graphic after it touches the body?

With proper wet application, you can slide a piece into position before squeegeeing it down. Work one piece at a time and avoid stretching the material.

When can I run the vehicle?

Allow the graphics to dry and cure fully before use, especially around edges, curves, and rivet areas.
