How the Free Chassis Skin Program works
Send me a new or used RC chassis plate so I can scan it, create an accurate template, and add a new chassis-skin fitment to the Darkside Studios catalog. If your application is accepted, I’ll provide the insured UPS labels, template the plate, and return it with a free set of two chassis skins from an existing design.

What material is the chassis plate?
Steel and carbon-fiber plates are currently eligible. Plastic-composite plates are not accepted at this time.

The complimentary skins use a standard matte or gloss finish. Confetti, chrome, metallic flake, and other premium add-ons are not included.

The agreement

Agreement between the applicant and Darkside Studio Arts LLC
By submitting this application and sending an RC chassis plate for templating, the applicant acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this service.
- The program is available only to residents of the contiguous United States.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
- If accepted, Darkside Studio Arts LLC will cover UPS Ground shipping to and from the studio, with signature confirmation and insurance against loss or damage up to $100.
- Templating generally takes 24–72 hours. I will contact the applicant if the expected timeline changes.
- The chassis plate will be handled carefully and returned with one complimentary set of two standard chassis skins per accepted plate.
- Only steel and carbon-fiber chassis plates are currently eligible. Plastic-composite plates are not accepted at this time.
